But it’s not enough for the system to be rock-solid. Solutions also have to be intuitive, easy to use, and incredibly quick to propagate information throughout the business, and the Internet. So, it’s a big deal when a leading software provider has a new offering.

The Assignment

Agilysis, one of the most respected brands in Property Management Systems for the hospitality industry, asked us to help them launch rGuest, their first, entirely new, cloud-based solution. Specifically, they wanted to make an impression at HITEC, the largest hospitality technology show in the world. Held a few miles south of Hollywood, CA – the capitol of glitz and glamour – thousands of prospects would be at the event. So it was the perfect place to do something big.

The Change

The hotel industry has been slow to embrace the cloud – and paid the price. The traditional in-house-built, on-premise systems they’ve relied on for years no longer keep up with customer expectations. Guests have no patience for systems and processes that aren’t interconnected. This disconnect threatens the industry. Our job was to elevate the urgency of this situation to pave the way for the new Agilysis solution. How? Considering the trade show was a stone’s throw from Hollywood, a summer blockbuster trailer experience seemed like a good call.

We took over the trade show venue both inside and out with video, movie-style posters, a gaming experience, VIP access to a hospitality event, movie-style snacks, in-cab advertising, online and mobile experiences, email, red carpet photo booths and a strong social presence all to support the most important hospitality launch in years.

The Results

The omnipresent campaign was impossible to miss. From geo-targeted mobile to free popcorn, to YouTube pre-roll and screen domination throughout the show, the industry could not escape the big news from Agilysis.
